Professor Bogusława Drelich-Skulska
Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation in the 2020-2024 term
Professor Bogusława Drelich-Skulska is a graduate of our University (then Wrocław University of Economics), the Faculty of National Economy of 1986. She received her Ph.D. in 1992 on the basis of
the dissertation entitled "Pro-export development strategy of South Korea", postdoctoral degree in 2002 based on the evaluation of her overall scientific achievements and the presented habilitation
thesis entitled "The evolution of Japan's foreign economic policy at the turn of the 21st century".
In 2012, a monograph entitled "Economic regionalism of East Asia. One look - different dimensions" (published by the WUEB Publishing House).
Research interests of Professor Drelich-Skulska concern international economic relations and foreign trade, as well as development economics, with particular emphasis on economic policy issues in
selected countries of East Asia, in the field of economic regionalism in East Asia on the macroeconomic and microeconomic level in the 21st century and regional development in the Union European
Union on the example of Lower Silesia.
Professor Bogusława Drelich-Skulska, mostly as team leader, participated in projects financed by the Jean Monnet Program, by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development and the National Science
Center. She is the author and scientific editor of 7 books and over 90 scientific articles concerning economic and political processes in Asia. She is the initiator and organizer of the series of
international scientific conferences "Asia-Pacific" dealing with economic, political and social problems in this region of the world, which have been held since 2007. On her initiative, in 2011,
the Asia-Pacific Research Center was established at our University. She has lectured at many foreign universities in the world, incl. Switzerland, Japan, Australia, Estonia, Great Britain and the
United States. Professor Bogusława Drelich-Skulska has promoted 13 doctors and five doctoral students are currently working under her scientific supervision.

- Head of the Department of International Economic Relations at the Faculty of Economic Sciences,
- Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation (2016-2020),
- Vice-Dean for Didactics and Full-Time Studies at the Faculty of Economic Sciences (2005-2012),
- Director of the International Cooperation Office at the University of Economics in Wrocław (2012-2016).
