Summer School of Management 2023 – let's start!

Spain, Belgium, Germany, Slovakia, Afghanistan and Kenya - these are the countries from which came students participating in the Summer School of Management 2023. Over the next ten days, on the University's green campus, our guests will participate in interdisciplinary workshops under the title 'Strategic foresight and managers' competences of the future'.

The Summer School of Management has been organized periodically since 2008 and returns to our University after a three-year break. It is aimed at students and graduates of management and related fields of studies from Europe and the whole world interested in acquiring key managerial competences.

- I am delighted that after the break caused by the pandemic, young people can meet again within the walls of our University and learn together, broaden their cultural horizons, get to know the history of our beautiful Wrocław, and simply spend time together - says Professor Bogusława Drelich-Skulska, Vice-Rector for Accreditation and International Cooperation at the WUEB.

The Summer School of Management 2023 primarily involves students from our University's partner universities - for example, Philipps-Universität in Marburg (Germany) or Universiteit Hasselt (Belgium). During the course, participants will not only complete almost 90 didactic hours but also play a business simulation at the University's Business Process Simulation Center (CSPB), visit Wrocław during a city game, and even participate in the degustation of traditional Polish cuisines.  

- The Summer School programme is structured to provide participants with a maximum dose of knowledge and competence in the most current management trends. They will learn, among other things, about foresight methodology, knowledge management, doing business in the digital economy, as well as diversity and inclusion in modern organizations - says Joanna Macalik, PhD, Summer School Coordinator.
