We are pleased to inform you that our University has been nominated to participate in the Fulbright Specialist Program 2023. As part of the program, we will host at our University
Mrs.
Jamie King Belinne from the University of Houston, Bauer College of Business from the United States.
In May 2023, on the initiative of
Prof. Bogusława
Drelich-Skulska, the International Cooperation Center submitted an application entitled:
„WUEB with the competences of the future in a modern way”, which received a positive
opinion of the Fulbright Commission. As a result of a multi-stage evaluation process, we were nominated to participate in the Fulbright Specialist Program.
During this year's competition, the Jury evaluated 18 applications.
The Council of the Polish-American Fulbright Commission issued a positive opinion on only 6 applications, including the
application of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business.
The nominated specialist for the visit is
Jamie King Belinne, who is an assistant professor at the University of Houston, Bauer College of Business, and also serves as the
Associate Dean for Career and Industry Engagement. At the University of Houston, she runs the career services and experiential learning office.
Jamie King Belinne is an expert in intergenerational management and performance improvement through the use of diverse interpersonal styles. She teaches constructive conversations, networking and
generational integration in the management education program. She developed and currently runs an innovative business course for students, in which participants solve real business problems in
cooperation with local non-profit organizations and companies. The aim of the course is to gain experience in order to obtain the competencies of the leader of the future. Ms. Belinne also runs a

We encourage all WUEB employees to participate in meetings with Jamie Belinne in order to exchange experiences and develop modern solutions. J. Belinne will stay at our University from 2nd to 20th
October 2023.

Fulbright Specialist is a short-term scientific and research exchange program aimed at deepening and expanding cooperation between Polish institutions and American scientists. The program enables
Polish institutions to establish cooperation with outstanding American specialists and to jointly implement a project related to a specialist's visit to a Polish institution. The stay of a
specialist in Poland may be related to, among others, conducting lectures and workshops, participating in conferences, consulting in the field of program work, carrying out assessments and expert
analysis, or developing local research projects.
