On September 3, 2018 at the meeting in Cologne, the EDAMBA (European Doctoral programs Association in Management & Business
Administration) Executive Committee accepted our University as an Associate Member and certified the doctoral program at WUE in Economics &
Business, specifically, Business & Management for one academic year.
The Associate Membership in EDAMBA offers various advantages, namely:
Access to information through EDAMBA Global academic network, publications and events;
Participation of doctoral students in the annual EDAMBA summer academy; of faculty members and post-docs to the Consortium on Doctoral Supervision and for Doctoral
graduates in annual EDAMBA thesis competition;
Participation in all EDAMBA activities.
Our university membership application was submitted in February 2018. In April this year, an evaluation visit took place, led by a team composed of Prof. Agnes Zsoka
and Prof. John Ulhoi from the Executive Committee of EDAMBA. Prior to the visit, the EDAMBA Executive Committee initially assessed the
application and detailed materials regarding doctoral studies at WUE, provided by the University. During their visit EDAMBA representatives met with:
the senior management, when the strategy and overall objectives of the school and program were introduced and clarified;
the faculty and supervisors involved in the program;
the doctoral students enrolled in the program;
key administrative staff.
During the visit, The EDAMBA Appraisal Team also had:
a session to review the program documentation and feedback from the senior management staff
a tour of the physical facilities.
