Ladies and Gentlemen, members of the academic community
On March 18, 2021, the Senate of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business adopted the Strategy 2030. The consequence of this resolution is the need of defining the organizational framework
for its implementation, therefore on May 20, 2021, the Rector issued an ordinance on the implementation of the Strategy 2030 of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business.
The strategy will be implemented under six Strategic Priorities:
1) Committed employees
2) Modern organization
3) Cooperation with business
4) Recognized practice-inspired research
5) Outstanding education of experts and business leaders
6) Continuous development of the competences of the future
We are convinced that the implementation of these priorities will take place through strategic projects of key importance for the University's future, with the great involvement of many members of
our community.
The Strategy Council chaired by the Rector will play an essential role in the process of implementing the Strategy. The Council will meet at least once every two months and grant
the projects the status of strategic projects. Strategic Priorities Ambassadors will primarily stimulate activities aimed at achieving the effects of each strategic priority and, inter alia, set
goals and measures for priority. The Priority Ambassador will be supported by
the Priority Council, which is to provide opinions on the submitted projects and monitor the effects
of their implementation. Each priority will have a
Sponsor representing the University Authorities and supporting the Priority Ambassador with his knowledge and experience in
substantive as well as formal and legal matters.
Twice a year we will organize a Strategic Review to verify and update the key assumptions of the Strategy. As part of these reviews, we intend to, inter alia, verify the implementation status of
the Strategy, work on proposals for new strategic projects and apply for changes in the shape of the strategy. Every year, the title of
the Strategy Leader of the Wroclaw
University of Economics and Business will be awarded to people who in the previous year especially distinguished themselves in the process of implementing the University's Strategy.
The first
Strategic Review will take place on 1st of July this year with the participation of several dozen participants and will aim to:
1) agreeing on the methodology of building strategic goals and measures resulting from the Priorities
2) review of initiated and implemented Strategic Projects
3) setting directions for the identification of new Strategic Projects
We believe that thanks to the involvement of representatives of our academic community, the strategy implementation process will run smoothly, serving the development of the Wroclaw University of
Economics and Business.
